Primary Intraosseous Meningioma is a rare type of tumour that develops within the bones of the skull. Unlike the more common brain meningiomas, which grow near the brain inside the skull, these tumours originate in the skull bone itself. While they are generally benign, some can behave aggressively and may transform into malignant forms.
Many sufferers of Primary Intraosseous Meningioma struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Primary Intraosseous Meningioma. We have recently created an Primary Intraosseous Meningioma resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
