Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (MPNs) are a rare group of blood cancers that cause the bone marrow to produce too many blood cells (red, white, or platelets). This abnormal production can lead to blood clots, bleeding issues, or even progress to acute leukaemia.
Many sufferers of Myeloproliferative Neoplasm struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Myeloproliferative Neoplasm. We have recently created an Myeloproliferative Neoplasm resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
