Gonadoblastoma of the ovary is a rare type of tumor (abnormal growth of tissues) of the ovary. Gonadoblastoma of the ovary contains different types of cells, including germ cells, stromal cells, and granulosa cells. Germ cells develop into eggs in females and into sperm in males. Typically, these tumors are not cancerous, but if left untreated, they may become cancerous.

Many sufferers of Gonadoblastoma of the Ovary struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from rare cancers such as Gonadoblastoma of the Ovary. We have recently created an Gonadoblastoma of the Ovary resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.

We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
