Choroid plexus papillomas are rare, benign (non-cancerous) brain tumours that originate in the brain’s ventricles. They typically affect children, usually arising from the lateral ventricles, but can also occur in adults, where they more commonly originate from the fourth ventricle.
Many sufferers of Choroid plexus papillomas struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Choroid plexus papillomas. We have recently created an Choroid plexus papillomas resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
