Located in the neck, the thyroid gland is responsible for producing important hormones. Thyroid hormones help the body consume energy and stay warm. They also keep the brain, heart, and other organs working correctly. Thyroid cancer is an uncommon form of cancer that affects the thyroid gland. The most common symptoms is small lumps on the throat.

Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that aims to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from rare cancers such as thyroid cancer. We have recently created a thyroid cancer resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information relating to thyroid cancer.

We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
