Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin is a common type of skin cancer that develops from the uncontrolled multiplication of squamous cells, these cells are flat in shape and found in the middle and outer layers of the skin and line various internal organs of the body. Squamous cell carcinoma starts as the growth of cells on the skin.

Many sufferers of Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. We have recently created a Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.

We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
