Spermatocytic seminoma is a rare and aggressive type of testicular tumour that grows quickly and can potentially spread to other parts of the body. Despite its rapid growth, it generally has a favorable prognosis. This type of tumour accounts for only 1-2% of all testicular cancers and is typically diagnosed in men around the age of 54.
Many sufferers of Spermatocytic seminoma struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Spermatocytic seminoma. We have recently created an Spermatocytic seminoma resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
