Turcot Syndrome is an uncommon hereditary condition that increases the risk of developing colon polyps and brain tumours. These are small, abnormal growths in the lining of the large intestine, as well as tumours in the brain, especially those within the central nervous system. If left untreated, some of these growths may progress into cancer.

Many sufferers of Turcot Syndrome struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Turcot Syndrome. We have recently created an Turcot Syndrome resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.

We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
