Neuroendocrine cancer is a rare form of cancer that affects neuroendocrine cells, which are located through the body and act similarly to nerve cells. These cells produce hormoes that control important bodily functions.
Many sufferers of neuroendocrine cancer struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that beileves that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from rare cancers such as neuroendocrine cancer. We have recently created a neuroendocrine cancer resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information relating to thyroid cancer.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
