Angiosarcoma of the scalp is a rare type of aggressive cancer that originates from the endothelial cells of the blood vessels supplying the scalp. It is a rare type of cancer that accounts for approximately 2% of all soft tissue and bone cancers and commonly affects the scalp and face in elderly age men aged 70 and older.
Many sufferers of Angiosarcoma of the scalp struggle because they feel that their disease doesn’t have the same level of awareness as more common cancers. Without a Ribbon is an Australian non-profit organisation that believes that rare cancers should never go unnoticed. We aim to provide a detailed set of resources and information for anyone suffering from cancers such as Angiosarcoma of the scalp. We have recently created an Angiosarcoma of the scalp resource page to help sufferers understand their disease. It covers the symptoms, available treatments and other important information.
We hope that this resource page will help you or a friend/family member to learn about their illness and aid them through their battle with the disease.
