Ready for ocean views, team spirit and a seriously good reason to get moving?

Team Without a Ribbon is taking on the 2026 Beach2Beach Running Festival, and we want you on the team.

Run it. Walk it. Cheer loudly from the sidelines. Volunteer, fundraise or make a donation from the comfort of your couch. However you get involved, you will be helping shine a light on rare cancers and support Australians who too often feel overlooked.

And no, you do not need to be an elite runner. You just need a pair of shoes, a little enthusiasm and a willingness to make a difference.

Sunshine, sea views and a whole lot of team spirit

Beach2Beach is one of Sydney’s most scenic community events, taking participants along the beautiful Northern Beaches coastline before finishing with a celebration at Newport Beach.

Choose the challenge that feels right for you:

  • Half Marathon — for the runners who like their fun with a side of serious achievement
  • 14km — a brilliant coastal challenge with plenty of bragging rights
  • 6km — perfect for casual runners, walkers, friends and families
  • 3km — ideal for beginners, children or anyone who prefers more cheering than training

Whether you race for a personal best, walk with your mates or take regular “photo stops” to admire the view, you will be part of something bigger.

This is not about finishing first. It is about showing up together.

Why every step matters

For people living with rare cancer, the road can feel incredibly isolating.

Information can be difficult to find. Support networks may be small. Friends, family and even healthcare professionals may have never heard of the diagnosis before.

Without a Ribbon works to change that.

By joining the team, fundraising or donating, you will help Without a Ribbon continue providing information, connection and support to people affected by rare cancer across Australia.

Your participation helps us:

  • Raise awareness of rare and less-recognised cancers
  • Remind our Warriors and their families that they are not alone
  • Connect more people with helpful information and support
  • Build a stronger and more visible rare-cancer community
  • Keep important resources and support programs available

Every kilometre, donation and conversation helps bring rare cancer out of the shadows.

Not a runner? Excellent news.

There are plenty of ways to join the fun without committing to a half marathon.

Run or walk with us

Pick your distance, join Team Without a Ribbon and bring along your friends, family, colleagues or neighbours. Matching outfits are optional, but enthusiastic team photos are strongly encouraged.

Turn your kilometres into donations

Create a fundraising page and ask your community to support your challenge. You can set a goal, share your training progress and celebrate every donation along the way.

Even a small fundraising target can make a meaningful difference.

Be part of the cheer squad

Come along, make some noise and give our team a boost when their legs start questioning their life choices.

Signs, applause, cowbells and enthusiastic shouting are all welcome.

Volunteer

Help us create a brilliant day for the team. Volunteers play an important role in bringing people together, keeping spirits high and making the event memorable.

Donate from anywhere

Can’t attend on the day? You can still be part of Team Without a Ribbon by supporting a participant or making a direct donation.

No running shoes required.

Bring your people

Beach2Beach is even better when you do it together.

Create a workplace team, challenge your family, recruit your friends or convince that one person who keeps saying they are “definitely going to start running soon.”

You can train together, fundraise together and celebrate together at the finish line.

Most importantly, you will be helping people affected by rare cancer feel seen, supported and surrounded by a community that cares.

Let’s make some noise for rare cancer

Pull on your runners, grab your favourite people and join us for a day filled with coastal views, laughs, encouragement and plenty of team spirit.

You might run the whole way. You might walk. You might cross the finish line sweaty, smiling and wondering why anyone thought hills were a good idea.

However you get there, every step will mean something.

Together, we can raise awareness, strengthen support and show our Warriors that they never have to face rare cancer alone.
