What is Pagetoid Reticulosis?
Pagetoid reticulosis is a rare skin disorder characterized by the presence of a slowly growing, single, reddish, raised cutaneous lesion (an abnormal mass) that consists of the malignant proliferation of T lymphocytes. T lymphocyte is a type of white blood cells. Neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, T cells, and B cells are types of white blood cells. Lymphocytes (white blood cells) help to fight infection and microorganisms that enter the body. Hepatosplenic T cells lymphoma is usually incurable.
Disease Etiology (Causes)
There is no well-known cause, however certain genetic mutations (faulty alteration in the genes) are considered responsible for the development of pagetoid reticulosis.

What Support can we Give for Pagetoid Reticulosis?
Pagetoid Reticulosis is rare cancer, meaning it is not as well known as other forms of cancer. Without a Ribbon is an Australian organisation that provides support for individuals who suffer from rare cancers. So, we provide a designated platform for Warriors to obtain information specific to their Rare Cancer. We also provide annual opportunities for our Warriors to meet and learn from each other. If you suffer from rare cancer such as Pagetoid Reticulosis we can help and support you through your journey thanks to the generous donations we receive.
